From theory to practice. The art of lung cancer treatment
Summary. The presentation at the scientific and practical conference «From Theory to Practice. The Art of Lung Cancer Treatment» was dedicated to modern approaches to the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), with a focus on the results of the ASCO 2024 Congress. Particular attention was paid to the role of targeted therapy, especially the drug osimertinib, in the treatment of patients with EGFR-mutations. The speaker presented the results of clinical studies that confirm the efficacy of osimertinib in increasing progression-free survival and overall survival in patients with stage III NSCLC. The use of immunotherapy in the treatment of small cell lung cancer was also considered.
