Comparative study of cytogenetic indexes of alveolar epithelium and tumor cells of squamous cell lung cancer

Summary. The aim of the work was to reveal cytogenetic indexes of alveolar epithelium during the process of malignization. Using histologic tissue slides of conventionally normal tissue with the signs of proliferation and malignization from 17 patients, morphofunctional types of nucleoli in the alveolar epithelial cells stained by W. Howell, D. Black have been studied. The obtained data reflect the qualitative and quantity changes of the main types of nucleoli that became more expressed along with increase of proliferation and malignant transformation of squamous cell lung cancer.
