Summary. Breast cancer — a heterogeneous disease, which differs significantly in clinical course, morphology and molecular structure, and requires a different approach to diagnosis and treatment. The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical and biological characteristics of triple-negative breast cancer. The study included 259 patients, aged from 27 to 82 (55±1,1) years of age who were treated for breast cancer in clinical oncology department of the National Medical University named after A.A. Bogomolets in 2005. In the present study, the following clinical and biologic features of triple-negative breast cancer: a young patient age, obesity, poor tumor differentiation, lymph node metastases regardless of tumor size in the breast.
