Contemporary state of diagnostics, treatment and registration of carcinoma in situ of cervix uteri

Summary. A study of incidence of carcinoma in situ of uterine cervix in comarison with cancer of uterine cervix in Ukrainian population aimed at evaluation of completeness and quality of re­gistration of such patients has been carried out. The incidence rates are calculated on the personified data of National Cancer Registry. The problem of timely diagnostics and treatment of carcinoma in situ of cervix uteri has not only medical but also socio-economic importance as incidence rate of this pathology achieves its peak value in young age groups (30–39) that directly affects labour and demographic potential of Ukrainian population. It is necessary to empasize that patients with carcinoma in situ of uterine cervix have risk of the possible developement of carcinoma of uterine cervix, and that is why adequate management of these patients is a real way of prevention of morbidity of cancer of uterine cervix in women population. Special role in organization of this activity must play obstetrician-gynecologists of medical institutions of all levels, being guided with methodological directions of regional oncological institutions; special place in this process must belong to the rooms of uterine cervix pathology.
