Results of treatment of patients with extra-abdominal desmoid fibromas

Summary. Results of treatment of patients with extra-abdominal desmoids are presented. After surgical treatment disease recurrent occurred in 61.5% of patients at a mean of 23.9 months. Recurrences after surgery and radiation therapy appeared in 30.8% of patients after an average of 16.5 months. It is concluded that the advantages of combination therapy in patients with the extra-abdominal desmoids.
