The digest of scientific-research workshop «Prophylaxis and treatment of chemotherapy complications (hepatotoxicity)» for oncologists, which are conducting chemotherapy
Summary. Modern chemotherapy (CT) significantly increases the chances of oncological patients to be cured. Thus negative point of modern CT is elevated number of side effects. This topic is very actual, what was confirmed by two workshops dedicated to the prophylaxis and treatment of CT complications, held in Kyiv in April 2014. The first Workshop held on April, 16 under the aegis of National Cancer Institute «Liver injury after chemotherapy». The special thrill of the workshop was television space bridge between the oncologists of Kyiv, Lviv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Odessa, Uzhgorod, Vinnytsya, Lugansk and Cherkassy. The key topics of the development, prophylaxis and treatment of liver toxicity are presented in the digest.
