The digest of scientific-research workshop for oncologists «Prophylaxis and treatment of chemotherapy complications (hematological toxicity)»

Summary. Modern chemotherapy (CT) significantly increases the chances of oncological patients to be cured. Thus negative point of modern CT is elevated number of side effects. This topic is very actual, what was confirmed by two workshops dedicated to the prophylaxis ant treatment of CT complications, held in Kyiv in April 2014. The first Workshop «Prophylaxis and treatment of chemotherapy complications» held on April, 25under the aegis of National Cancer Institute. The special thrill of the workshop was the possibility to receive recent knowledge’s during the lectures and put them into practice during the clinical case with voting discussion. The development of National standards of diagnosis, prophylaxis and treatment of CT toxicity was also initiated. The key topics of the development, prophylaxis and treatment of haematological toxicity are presented in the digest.
