Influence of arginine and polyamines metabolism modulators on the surface electric charge of Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) cells in vivo and their proliferative activity in the culture

Summary. It was shown that an inhibitor of arginase — norarginin — reduces the cell negative surface charge of lung carcinoma Lewis (LLC) in vivo, and α-DFMO and MGBG act on it in opposite directions. Cytostatic effect of α-DFMO in culture of LLC cells was significantly potentiated by arginase or arginindeiminase.
