Summary. It was shown that action of polyamine metabolism inhibitors can be modified not only by direct influence on the enzymatic system of synthesis the latter, but also by reducing arginase activity that is involved in the formation of ornithine the precursor of polyamine synthesis. The presence of an inhibitor of arginase norarginin creates favorable conditions for NO-synthase, which causes a strong stimulation of tumor cells production of nitrogen oxides.
