Assessment of the state-funded cancer control program. Practical aspect and philosophy of the decision

Summary. In Ukraine, for any implemented state program, target indicators of assessment were not applied both during designing and after implementation. Therefore the expected results were not achieved. These article presents the proposed criterion indicators of effectiveness proposed by authors. The assessment of the results of the National Program for the Cancer Control for the period until 2016 was carried out before and after the end of this program using proposed indicators. Examples of indicators that can be used at planning stage and when assessing of the cancer program efficiency were offered.
