Summary. Recently has been proven the clinical value of application of positron emission tomography in combination with computed tomography in the treatment process of patients with various types of lymphoproliferative diseases. In this work was proved the prognostic value of the metabolic tumor volume and total lesion glycolysis determined before treatment in patients with primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma.
