Modern strategies of surgical treatment of patients with ovarian cancer combined with pelvic carcinomatosis

Summary. In the article, the own experience with the technique of intraoperative hypertermic intraperitoneal chemoperfusion (HIPEC) in patients with disseminated ovarian cancer is shown. Based on analysis of 25 clinical cases, the authors note that the technique is innovative and effective. Having the many advantages of the method found no difference in the toxicity of the drugs between traditional and advanced ovarian cancer treatment method using HIPEC. The authors consider that hyperthermia is one of the possible mechanisms for overcoming resistance to platinum.
